Inside the Holiday Issue
Although I find it sad to say good-bye to my
flower gardens after the frost, the anticipation of the
upcoming holiday season keeps my spirits high. My
holiday garden creativity turns to the wooded areas
near my home for inspiration. There are so many
textures and colors available in evergreens, berry
branches, moss, and pinecones to use in my outdoor
flower boxes and clay pots. By filling these containers
with different types of greenery, my outdoor gardening
continues through the fall and winter holidays.
Create & Decorate’s Special 2008 Holiday Issue is packed with charming
projects and ideas to transition your home décor through Halloween,
Thanksgiving and the much anticipated winter festivities. We have divided
the issue into Harvest and Holiday Collections, and offer many inspirational
photographs with decorating ideas. Within the harvest projects you will find
an autumn favorite in the stitched Raggedy Scarecrow, created by Denise
White. There is a collection of miniature pumpkins to create in
our Clay Pumpkin Patch that new designer, Charlaine Bobbert, is
eager to share with you. Flipping the pages over to our Holiday Collection,
you will discover repurposed clay garden pots in Clay Pot Santas,
designed by Kathy Wegner. Enjoy a very special tour through a country
store in a new feature article named Shops Along the Way.
Whether you are eager to decorate your home in a festive manner for the
season, or are ready to stitch and paint gifts for Christmas, this issue is bursting with imaginative ways to accomplish your holiday ambitions!
